7 days from Marrakech to Agadir and Chagaga desert

Day 1: Marrakech

Arrive in Marrakech and spend the day exploring the city’s bustling medina, vibrant markets, and historical sites. Visit attractions like the Bahia Palace, the Koutoubia Mosque, and the Jardin Majorelle. Immerse yourself in the rich Moroccan culture and enjoy the local cuisine.

Day 2: Marrakech to Essaouira

Leave Marrakech and head west towards Essaouira. The drive takes approximately 2.5 to 3 hours. Once in Essaouira, explore the charming coastal town with its whitewashed buildings, narrow streets, and picturesque harbor. Visit the Skala de la Ville, walk along the beach, and try some fresh seafood.

Day 3: Essaouira to Agadir

Depart Essaouira and continue your journey south to Agadir. The drive takes around 3 hours. In Agadir, relax on the beautiful sandy beaches, stroll along the promenade, and visit the Kasbah for panoramic views of the city. Enjoy the vibrant nightlife and taste the local culinary delights.

Day 4: Agadir to Taliouine

Leave Agadir and head east towards Taliouine. Taliouine is famous for its saffron production. Enjoy the scenic drive through the High Atlas Mountains and visit saffron cooperatives to learn about the cultivation and processing of saffron. Overnight in Taliouine.

Day 5: Taliouine to Chagaga

Depart Taliouine and continue your journey south to Chagaga. Chagaga is located in the Sahara Desert and offers an authentic desert experience. Enjoy camel trekking, and sandboarding, and immerse yourself in the magical atmosphere of the dunes. Spend the night in a traditional desert camp.

Day 6: Chagaga to Zagora

Leave Chagaga and head towards Zagora. Along the way, visit the desert town of M’hamid, known as the gateway to the Sahara Desert. Explore the palm groves and ancient kasbahs in the Draa Valley. Reach Zagora, where you can take a walk along the palm-fringed oasis and enjoy the tranquil surroundings.

Day 7: Zagora to Ait Ben Haddou and return to Marrakech

On your last day, depart Zagora and head north towards Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Explore the famous Kasbah and learn about its rich history. Afterward, start your journey back to Marrakech, which takes around 4-5 hours. Arrive in Marrakech and conclude your trip with a final evening in the city.
