Your journey begins with a scenic drive across the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, offering breathtaking views and traditional Berber villages. Stop at the UNESCO-listed Ait Ben Haddou, a famous ksar known for its ancient architecture and film history. After exploring, continue to Ouarzazate and travel through Skoura Oasis before reaching the stunning Dades Valley. Enjoy the dramatic landscapes of red cliffs and winding roads before settling into your guesthouse for the night.
After breakfast, head toward the spectacular Todra Gorge, where you can walk between towering canyon walls. Continue through small Berber towns and desert landscapes, passing Erfoud, known for fossils and dates. Arrive in Merzouga in the afternoon, where your camel caravan awaits. Ride into the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi and witness a magical sunset. Spend the evening in a desert camp with traditional dinner, music, and a star-filled sky.
Wake early to enjoy a breathtaking sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, explore the Merzouga region. Visit Khamlia Village to experience traditional Gnawa music and meet local nomadic families. You can also enjoy activities such as sandboarding or a 4x4 desert excursion to discover fossil sites and the black desert. Spend a second night either in the desert camp or in a comfortable hotel in Merzouga.
Depart Merzouga after breakfast and travel north through the beautiful Ziz Valley, famous for its vast palm groves and panoramic views. Pass through Erfoud and Errachidia, gradually leaving the desert behind as the landscape changes to mountains and forests. Stop along the way for photos and breaks before reaching Midelt, a peaceful town located between the Middle Atlas and High Atlas Mountains. Overnight in a hotel or guesthouse.
On your final day, continue toward Fes, traveling through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in the cedar forests near Azrou, where you may see wild Barbary macaques.
