8 Day Morocco Tour from Fes – Sahara Desert & Imperial Cities
Explore Morocco on this 8-day journey from Fes, visiting imperial cities, scenic Atlas Mountains, and the Sahara Desert. Experience camel rides, ancient medinas, and unforgettable desert sunsets on this immersive adventure.
Departure from your accommodation at 8:00 am, directly from Meknes. One of theimperial Moroccan cities was founded by Sultan Moulay Ismail. You will discover the medina and visit the module of the founder of this medina. Then we continue to Molay Idriss Zerhoune, to see the mosque of Molay Idriss. From there, we go to the Roman ruins in Volubilis. Then we continue to Chefchaouen via the Rif mountains. Dinner and a night in a charming riad.
After your breakfast, you will explore the medina on foot. You admire the charm of these houses and these alleys, meet the locals, and then we leave for Rabat, via Ouazane. In Rabat, you will visit the Hassan Tower, the Kasbah of Oudayas, and the Challah. From there, we continue to Casablanca, dinner, and a night in a hotel.
We will visit the great mosque Hassan II in Casablanca, and we will leave in the direction of Safi. City on the Atlantic coast known for these pretty potteries, after a fresh fish lunch, we continue towards Essaouira, where you will visit the medina and the port of Skala. Dinner and a night in a riad.
After breakfast, we leave Essaouira for Marrakech. We will visit an Argan oil cooperative, then we will continue to Marrakech. Here you enjoy a stroll in the large square Jemaa el Fna, have a coffee in one of these panoramic terraces, then relax in a riad in the medina, have dinner, and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, we will travel towards Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, where we cross the High Atlas mountains at 2260m. You enjoy these panoramic views and take beautiful panoramic photos. We arrive at Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, where your local guide will accompany you to explore the kasbah from the inside and discover the Berber architecture. The kasbah is built in pure land…
After lunch, we will follow the road of a thousand kasbahs towards Dades Gorges, with a stop in the Skoura palm grove. We will then cross the Valley of Roses, and we will follow the Valley of Roses to the Dades Gorges, where you will spend the night with the locals.
After breakfast, the camel guide will take you to the foot of the dunes, and we will leave in a 4x4 for an excursion in the desert landscape. You will visit the nomads, see the painted carvings, and return for lunch to Khamlia, the village of Gnaoua musicians from South Africa. We return later by camel to the Sahara camp to spend the second night with dinner.
